Dr_Carlos_J_GarciaDr. Carlos J. Garcia, M.D. received his undergraduate science degree with honors at the University of Puerto Rico in 1978. He completed his M.D. at the Medical College of Wisconsin-Marquette University in 1982. He completed his Anesthesiology training at the University of Illinois Hospital in 1985. During his last year, he served as the Senior Resident. Dr. Garcia received the prestigious Bruce M. Cherkala award in Clinical Research in Anesthesiology.

He served as a Major in the United States Air Force from 1985-1988. During this time, he was Chief of Anesthesia and Pain Management. He was honorably discharged and joined private practice in 1988. He moved to the North Texas area in 1990, practicing Pain Management and Anesthesiology. In 2002, Dr. Garcia started the only full-time interventional pain medicine practice in the area, Premier Pain Care. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Garcia has completed training and certification in state-of-the-art procedures such as: Diagnostic Nerve Injections, Sonography, Kyphoplasty, Percutaneous Discectomy, Spinal Cord Stimulators, Bone Marrow Derived Stem Cells, Adipose Derived Stem Cells, Lipo-Aspirate Grafting, and other Tissue Engineering Therapies. Dr. Garcia first started practicing Interventional Regenerative Pain Medicine in 2005, has pioneered and invented novel minimally invasive disc interventions utilizing state of the art tissue engineering techniques with stem cells therapies (B.E.T.R Bio-Stem Disc). In 2015 he founded the Regenerative Spine and Joint Institute.

Dr. Garcia belongs to numerous local and regional medical organizations such as the International Spinal Injection Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Texas Pain Society, and the Texas Medical Association.

During the last 10 years, he has received extensive training in surgical liposuction, orthopedic medicine, bio-mechanics, and stem cell medicine. He is currently involved in training, research and lecturing in the US and internationally in tissue engineering treatments for minimally invasive spine and musculoskeletal conditions. He is an active member and presenter in the following prestigious regenerative medicine organizations:

  • International Cell Medicine Society (ICMS)
  • American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (AAOM)
  • International Society for Cell Therapy (ISCT)
  • Tissue Engineering Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS)
  • International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science (IFATS)

Among his most important professional accomplishments, he considers serving his country in the United States Air Force the greatest honor of his career.

He enjoys competitive shooting sports, flying gliders, fly fishing, cycling and spending time with his family.

Mary L. Napier-Garcia, MS, NP-C received her bachelor’s of science in nursing from Marquette University Nursing School in 1981. She worked as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital, and then at the prestigious Children Memorial Hospital in Chicago. In 1998 she obtained her Masters Degree as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to co-founding Premier Pain Care, PA in 2002, she worked as a family medicine nurse practitioner in the DFW Metro Area.

Has trained extensively in interventional pain procedures and regenerative lifestyle medicine. She is at the forefront of Bio-Cellular Regenerative Medicine, including extensive training in Stem Cell Therapies, PRP and other treatments as it applies to regenerative lifestyle therapeutics.
